Aidan is a well respected communicator with a proven track record of making difficult decisions to improve efficiency; with over twenty years experience of creating positive and efficient teams he has successfully delivered complex projects, has driven down costs and always exhibits that necessary but often rare skill of truly understanding and empathising with the customer and their needs.
Aidan Sheppard has spent over twenty years working in the telecoms sector. After obtaining BA and MSc degrees at university he decided to focus on a career in the stimulating and fast moving world of telecommunications, getting his first job at BT. Following various project management positions at C&W and AT&T, in 1999 Aidan was one of the first employees to join a start-up organisation which at the time was recognised with rolling out the fastest pan European fibre optic network - 3000km in just twelve weeks. For the last fifteen years Aidan has held various senior positions at Sprint (the third largest US mobile and wireline operator), where among other things he has been responsible for Service Management, Project Management, Local Access Procurement and Delivery for both data and voice services to enterprise and wholesale customers in EMEA.
Elizabeth joins Ciptex as a DevOps engineer, and is keen to build a career in the communications technology industry. Having studied advanced level ICT, Geography and English, she has gained a broad understanding of technology, and a clear understanding of her goals, ambitions, and career trajectory. Her role at Ciptex will be underpinned by the degree-level apprenticeship program at MMU. She is highly creative, enjoying all things arts and craft, and rambling, and is inspired by Mary Berry - sharing her cakes and bakes with friends and family.

Jolyon has over 15 years' experience in the Contact Centre technology arena. Previously, he spent two years at Blue Square, part of Rank Group, where he was the Customer Contact Director, responsible for building, developing and running their contact centre. Jolyon managed the transition of the contact centre during Blue Square’s acquisition by Rank Group. He implemented the UK’s first voice betting service and the first Cloud-enabled contact centre.
Prior to joining Blue Square, Jolyon spent 8 years with Accenture where he built and operated contact centres for blue chip organisations such as BT and Alliance & Leicester (now part of Santander).
Jolyon is passionate about technology, and is an active member of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists where he advises leading UK Arts organisations with their IT. He regularly presents at leading Contact Centre industry conferences and events in the UK, Belgium and Canada.

Mark has over 15 years’ experience in ICT working in both client operations and ICT sales. After studying Tourism Management at University Mark started his career in Hospitality working at a prestigious hotel in Bath. He was presented an opportunity to project manage the deployment of a new IT Infrastructure which was the start of his passion for technology and how it empowers business. His career path was to be altered from this point forward, focussing on ICT rather than hospitality. Mark then joined a new challenger Pan European Hotel Brand as an IT Manager. Following 5 successful years where he gained several promotions he decided to go and work for an IT Outsourcer to Manage a key account. Looking after just one account wasn’t challenging enough for Mark so he sought a role in New Business. Mark established himself as a true sales leader and was promoted to Sales Director with overall responsibility for, New Business, Account Management, Marketing, Channel Sales and Pre-Sales. After 7 years a new challenge was needed and Mark decided to move and focus on New Business for the world’s third largest telco. When the chance to work with the Ciptex team was presented to Mark he felt his experience would serve him well and his passion would set him apart. Proud to be the newest team member, a title he doesn’t expect to hold for very long.
Mark likes all things innovative, disruptive and competitive. A failing sportsman, armchair expert and fair-weather cyclist. Nowadays a corporate golfer, still a CFC fan (Premier League Champions 2017) and a keen skier. Outside of work, family, friends, fitness and food are all that really matter to Mark.

Selling fixed line solutions is no longer interesting and has been commoditised to the extent that customers don’t see the value in their WAN. SD WAN has made the conversation relevant and interesting again. Changing WAN providers is too painful and costly for most. Following stringent analysis, more can be gained from the provision already in place. Often current services can be reduced and replaced with newer circuits utilising varying transport methods. Mohamad has over 7 years' experience in IT infrastructure engineering. Previously, he has worked for multiple managed service providers (MSPs) in the UK and abroad. In his current role at Ciptex, Mo is responsible for all network and infrastructure related projects, working closely with operations and product development teams. He has a Bachelors (BSc) with Honours in Information Technology Engineering and an Masters (MSc) degree in Computer Networks and Security. Mohamad stands at the forefront of the fastest moving technology industry trend: cloud services. He has spent the past three years evangelising an industry-wide shift to the cloud and has helped many businesses migrating services to the cloud.
"I am very passionate about technology and cloud, and currently hold Microsoft Certified Professional MCP specialising in Server and Cloud infrastructure, ITIL V3 Certificate, and hands-on Cisco, Azure and Office 365, AWS. I am experienced in customer facing technical roles and I love to provide top notch service; this is reflected in the great feedback I regularly receive from clients. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, travelling, fitness training and I play table tennis at championship level."
Neil has over 17 years’ experience working within the Telecoms and Media sector in both commercial and financial roles. During his career he has successfully overseen a significant number of fund raises, mergers & acquisitions as well as management buy outs.
A qualified Chartered Management Accountant, Neil started in Telecoms selling RF and Satcom products. He was recruited as Chief Financial Officer for a major subsidiary of Eastman Kodak, building a digital post production company from start-up phase that eventually became one of the largest special effects facilities in the world.
In his following start-up company he was instrumental in raising circa £350m in debt and equity funding. As the Chief Financial Officer for a PLC company in the media industry, Neil was instrumental in restructuring the facility, turning it into a profitable business. Working back in the Telecoms industry Neil bring much expertise to the role.
Neil is passionate about Cycling, Skiing, Travel and Films.

Nina brings many years of business experience gained across numerous industries to Ciptex. She has worked within IT Sales for organisations including Civica, heading up the Government and Charity team, working closely with key vendors such as Microsoft. She also has experience within the recruitment sector, and was a Chef on a diving boat on the Australian barrier reef - a highlight of her career. She has over 5 years’ experience covering core functions, administration and finance.

Phil van Tenac is one of the co-founders and is Chairman of Ciptex. He brings over 20 years experience in the business communications industry. He has founded and grown several communications companies including RouteTrader, who operate from enterprise to carrier level. His entrepreneurial skills and industry contacts bring access to a network of related businesses.

Sina joined Ciptex as DevOps engineer and is passionate about programming, music production and creating artwork. He is already a champion of cloud technologies - and In 2016, won an 'Apps for Good - Sustainable Communities’ award for his App, DonateIT, which helps Charities acquire more second-hand goods by directly connecting them with Donors. Having mastered Handball, winning a gold and two silver medals, he has now turned his attention to running. Sina is fluent in English and Persian.

Steve is Head Honcho at Ciptex. He has over 25 years’ experience in Telecoms and IT and has held senior positions in public, private and VC backed companies in both the UK and Ireland.
At the age of 27 he started his first business, Direct Voice & Data Ltd and was a semi-finalist in Entrepreneur of the Year 2000. The business was acquired in late 2000 by Convergent Communications Plc where Steve became Sales Director, before becoming Divisional Director for Azzurri Communications. In his last role, Steve was MD of Avaya partner and Systems Integrator IP Integration, specialising in Enterprise and Contact Centre solutions. Along the way Steve has also founded and sold a telecoms business specialising in Contact Centres in Ireland.
In addition to competitive sports and Motorsport, Steve is passionate about the benefits that Hosted Solutions can provide when correctly designed and implemented.
