The Client
A global leader in investor relations and public relations communications, providing earnings calls, AGMs, and bondholder updates to enterprise clients worldwide. They came to Ciptex because they required a conferencing platform capable of operating at significant scale during peak earnings seasons, with individuals dialling in from all over the world.
The Problem
The client needed to build a new global IR conferencing platform from the ground up. The platform needed to meet many requirements, including:
Handle 500+ live conferences per day
Support 200+ simultaneous callers per conference, from multiple countries
Provide managed stage participation and Q&A functionality, allowing selected participants to be invited to speak
Operate with 24/7 support
No pre-built product met these requirements. A customised, fully managed solution was needed.
Why Ciptex?
The client approached Ciptex as a long-standing trusted vendor of over ten years. Ciptex was already delivering SIP telephony to the client via Twilio, making it a natural extension of the relationship to build and manage a conferencing application on top of that infrastructure.
What We Built
Ciptex designed and deployed a fully managed conferencing platform built on Twilio's programmable voice infrastructure, incorporating:
Twilio Programmable Voice, handling high call volumes with global PSTN and WebRTC connectivity
Audio Rooms and Event Streams, powering live conference sessions with real-time stage management
A bespoke conference management portal, giving the client's team full control over events, participant management, and Q&A stage access
Extended country number coverage, including China and other locations outside the core Twilio network, added and managed by Ciptex directly
24/7 managed support, with Ciptex engineers working with the client whenever they needed support
Results
The platform has been live for over three years and continues to grow:
Thousands of conferences successfully delivered since go-live
Millions of minutes of investor relations calls facilitated globally
Zero dependency on apps or internet connectivity for participants, dial-in only, ensuring accessibility across all markets
Ongoing collaborative development with the client team, with Ciptex continuing to add new capabilities and country coverage
Ciptex remains the sole managed support partner, providing round-the-clock coverage across US and EMEA time zones
Summary
This engagement demonstrates Ciptex's ability to take a complex, mission-critical communications requirement and deliver a production-grade platform built for scale. By combining deep Twilio expertise with bespoke application development and long-term managed support, Ciptex has become an embedded part of the client's global IR infrastructure, not just a vendor, but a delivery partner.
